Privacy Policy
Effective date: May 5, 2026
CanLite now collects browsing and account-linked signals to operate ad auctions, affiliate placements, traffic analysis, fraud controls, and measurement systems. This page explains what is collected and how it is used.
What We Collect
We may log page visits, visit/session identifiers, URLs visited on CanLite, search inputs submitted through CanLite integrations, ad requests, ad impressions, ad clicks, device and network fingerprints, account identifiers, approximate IP-derived network metadata, and related operational metadata.
Why We Collect It
We use this data to personalize and improve ad selection, compare direct bids against affiliate offers such as Amazon and eBay, measure performance, reduce abuse, understand site usage, and maintain account-linked features.
Account-Linked Data
If you sign in, your account may be associated with visits, page activity, search activity, and ad interaction history. We use that linkage to build stronger intent and learning signals over time.
Anonymous and Logged-Out Use
Some signals are collected even before sign-in so the site can maintain sessions, detect abuse, and understand page traffic. Once you sign in, those signals may be associated with your account where permitted by the product flow and current policy affirmation.
Advertising and Affiliate Systems
CanLite may request ads from bidding partners and may also generate affiliate offers, including Amazon and eBay destination links. Interaction with those ads may be logged for measurement and learning.
Sharing
We may share the minimum data needed with ad, affiliate, analytics, infrastructure, and anti-abuse providers that help operate these systems. Third-party destinations follow their own policies once you leave CanLite or render their content.
Retention
We may retain collected signals for operational analysis, learning, fraud review, and business records unless we decide to shorten or expand retention in a future policy version.
Your Affirmation
When you sign up, sign in, or are asked to re-affirm after a policy change, you are confirming that you understand this data handling model and consent to the current version for account use.
Changes
We may update this policy as the signal collection and advertising systems evolve. When the required version changes, signed-in users may be asked to affirm again before continuing to use account-linked features.
